Corporate Social Responsibility

 

The Quality and Corporate Social Responsibility Policy, on which all actions of G.S. TEXTIL LTD are based, is widely publicized inside and outside the company and can be summarized as follows. The company:

  • Achieves and maintains the quality of its products and services at the level agreed with customers, utilizing the best available technology and know-how given the financial capabilities of the company.
  • Distributes its products and merchandise in accordance with applicable standards, placing particular emphasis on the durability of its products.

  • Completes orders within the agreed deadlines and always in accordance with the specified terms.
  • Plans the qualitative improvement of its products and services in accordance to feedback received by customers.
  • Provides organized learning and training opportunities to its entire staff with the aim of cultivating quality perception and work specialization.
  • Continuously improves its products and the level of service and support to its customers and partners.
  • Maintains close personal relationships with its customers in order to ensure continuous communication on their quality and service needs.
  • Continuously improves its corporate social profile, its performance in regards to the SA 8000 standard requirements and the relationship with its employees.
  • Does not engage or support child labour and does not expose children or young workers to forced labour in or outside the workplace.
  • Does not allow any form of forced labour.
  • Takes all necessary measures to provide a safe and healthy workspace and to prevent accidents and injuries that may be caused by or be directly related to the workflow.
  • Recognizes workers' right to form and participate in labour/trade unions of their choice.
  • Does not practice or supports the use of corporal punishment, psychological or physical coercion and extortion.
  • Applies a strict non-discrimination policy in recruitment, compensation, education, promotion or termination. Dismissal due to age, race, expense, nationality, religion, disability, gender, sexual orientation, union membership or political ideology is prohibited. In addition, no form of sexual harassment is tolerated.
  • Follows the industry laws and practices with regards to working hours. Any overtime work would be an exception and must be compensated.
  • Provides wages at least the minimum required by law or the industry.
